Welcome

A deluxe men's haircut and beard is $50 and takes about fifty five to seventy five minutes. You get the full haircut, the full beard sculpt, a hot towel on the face, a straight razor detail on the cheek and neck lines, and an aftershave balm to close it out. The hot towel is the difference. It softens whiskers, opens pores, and lifts the hair off the skin so the razor and trimmer both work cleaner. This is the service to book before a wedding, a first date, a job interview, or once a month just to reset.

The Process

What actually happens in the chair

  • 01

    The consultation

A minute on the haircut, a full minute on the beard. This is the step that decides how you walk out. Tell us the guard number for the beard, or point at a photo. Tell us where you want the cheek line and how sharp you want the neck edge.

  • 02

Wash or wet down and the haircut

Same as a standard men's haircut. Clippers on the sides, scissors on top, blend the transition, line up the perimeter.

  • 03

    Beard combed out and outlined

Dry beard first because wet beard reads longer than it is. Guard set one length longer than target. Sideburns to jaw to chin to mustache, in sections. Scissor over comb on any long survivors.

  • 04

    The hot towel

A hot, moist towel is wrapped around the face and left for sixty to a hundred and twenty seconds. Whiskers soften, pores open, hair lifts off the skin. Same prep used in a full straight razor shave. This is what makes the edges that come next clean instead of dragging.

  • 05

Cheek and neck lines with the razor

Cheek line drawn from the corner of the mouth to the middle of the ear. Neckline set two fingers above the Adam's apple, gentle U into the ears. The straight razor pass is what pulls the line crisp.

  • 06

    Aftershave balm and style

Balm to calm the skin from the razor. Product in the hair if you want to see how the cut sits. Cold towel finish if you want it, ask.

Vocabulary

How to ask for a deluxe without guessing

Say three things and the barber knows exactly what you want.
Say it first

1The beard length

Give a guard number if you know it, or point at a photo. If your usual answer is "just take a little off," give us a number this time. This service is worth the specificity.

Then

2The cheek line

Say natural, just under the ridge, or defined. Natural cleans up the strays without setting a hard line. Just under the ridge is the most common ask, it follows where your beard already grows and sets a clean edge a hair below it. Defined is a sharp straight or curved line from the corner of the mouth to the middle of the ear. Sharpest look, longest to grow back soft.

Finally

3The neck edge and finish

Sharp neckline or natural. Aftershave balm scented or unscented. Cold towel yes or no. The barber will offer, but knowing your answer saves the guessing.

Put it togetherDeluxe with the hot towel, take the beard down to a five guard, cheek line just under the ridge, sharp neckline, unscented balm.
Who It Is For

Who a deluxe men's haircut and beard is for

A guy who wants to look meaningfully sharper than usual, or a guy who wants the ritual once a month just for the reset.

Weddings, first dates, job interviews, headshots, court dates, family photos. Anytime you want to walk in a room and read as put together on purpose. The hot towel and razor edge do work that the trimmer only version cannot. The cheek line reads crisper. The neck edge reads intentional. The skin sits calmer for a day or two after because the balm and cold towel do their job. It costs five dollars more than the standard men's haircut and beard, and takes fifteen to twenty minutes longer.

You have a look in mind

You know the look, or you have seen it on someone. Bring a picture, ideally of a person whose hair matches yours in texture. We translate the picture to your head.

02With a question

You have no idea what suits you

Tell us what you do for work, whether you actually style your hair or comb it once and go, and how often you get cut. That is enough for a good barber to steer you toward something you will enjoy wearing.

How often to come back for a fresh deluxe

  • Monthly ritualEvery three to four weeks
  • Before a specific eventOne to two days out
  • Between deluxes, on a maintenance cycleStandard men's haircut and beard every three weeks, deluxe once every six to eight weeks for the ritual
  • Heavy beard, needs more shape workEvery three weeks

If you like the deluxe but only want it monthly, alternate with a $25 beard and shape up to keep the perimeter tight in between.

Common Questions

FAQ

Do I need the hot towel if I do not want a straight razor shave?

Yes. It also softens the beard hair for trimmer work and calms the skin after the neck detail. The towel earns its place even when you are not getting shaved.

What is the difference between the deluxe and the men's haircut and beard?

The deluxe adds the hot towel, a straight razor pass on the cheek and neck lines, and an aftershave balm finish. Fifteen to twenty extra minutes, five extra dollars. The haircut and the beard shape itself are the same.

Will the straight razor irritate my skin?

A trained barber makes hundreds of clean passes a week. Nicks are rare. If you have very sensitive skin or shave down with a single blade at home, tell us at the consultation and we can go with the grain only, no second pass across.

How long does the deluxe take?

Fifty five to seventy five minutes. Long beard, tight fade, and a defined cheek line push it toward seventy five.

Should I come in with clean skin?

Wash the face that morning and skip lotion or beard oil. Product on the skin dulls the razor edge and gets in the way of the balm at the end.

Can I do the deluxe without the razor?

Yes, but at that point it is the men's haircut and beard for $45. The razor pass is what the extra money buys. If you want the hot towel without the razor, ask, we can do it.

Can I get this the day of a wedding or event?

Yes, and honestly the day before is better. The skin looks its best about eighteen hours after a razor pass, not right after. Book the deluxe the day before the event.

Do you take walk ins?

Walk ins are welcome. The deluxe runs longer so we prefer a booking if you can, especially on Saturdays. Call ahead and we will save you a chair.

Do I need to have a beard for this?

Yes. If you want a haircut and a full shave with no beard left, book a men's haircut and a face blade shave separately. The deluxe assumes you are keeping the beard.

What if my beard is very long?

Still book the deluxe. We spend more time on scissor over comb work and less on the guard. No upcharge.

Can I bring a photo?

Yes, bring one for the hair and one for the beard. The more specific the reference, the closer the result.

Is the balm scented?

We have both. Tell us at the finish which you want, or ask us to leave the balm off if you are sensitive to fragrance and unscented balm.

I have never had a straight razor on my face. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Say so at the consultation and the barber will talk you through the first pass so nothing catches you off guard.
